Imperial Innovations and Nexeon

Nexeon was founded as a result of work done by Professor Mino Green, Emeritus Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Imperial College, London.

Imperial College, consistently rated one of the world’s top universities, is the main partner and source of ideas for Imperial Innovations, the incubator in which Nexeon started life.

Imperial Innovations combines the activities of technology transfer, company incubation and investment and aims to bring valuable ideas to market either by building businesses or licensing to industry.

Imperial Innovations invested £4.0 million in Nexeon in February 2009, one of its largest investments since its IPO. This followed Imperial Innovations’ initial investment of £1.95 million in July 2007 as part of a £4.25 million fund raising.

Dr Paul Atherton is both Chairman of the Nexeon board and a non-executive director of Imperial Innovations.
